Visit our uncrowded beaches! Enjoy a walk, fish for salmon or dig razor clams in season. Explore trails through the rain forest. See waterfalls, tumbling streams, herds of Roosevelt elk or solitary bald eagles. Visit museums showcasing the colorful history of the early settlers or Native Americans.
All of these pleasures can be enjoyed in any season. Follow our four day plan for a whirlwind tour, hitting some of our favorite locations in Grays Harbor County, or extend each ‘day’ to a few days or a week and enjoy the jewels of this ‘undiscovered’ area at a slower pace.
DAY 1 EASTERN GRAYS HARBOR
‘East County’ as it is known locally has several parks offering RV facilities. Any one of them provides access to excellent salmon and trout fishing, in season, on the Chehalis, Wynoochee, or Satsop rivers. If you prefer indoor explorations try one of the historical museums, the McCleary Museum in McCleary or the Chehalis Valley Historical Museum in Montesano.
