City of Hoquiam
The economic hub of Grays Harbor is the cities of Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Cosmopolis, and approximately half of the county’s population lives in the three contiguous cities. Take in the history and nature so abundant in Hoquiam.
You won’t want to miss out on the 7th Street Theatre. This beautiful, historic, atmospheric theater seats more than 1,100 people for the enjoyment of amateur and professional concerts and plays. The theater is located in downtown Hoquiam, among cool shops and great restaurants, and just a short drive from the luxurious Hoquiam Castle Bed & Breakfast. Constructed in 1897, the exquisite mansion boasted all the comfort amenities of East Coast mansions of the day. The privately owned mansion is open for tours as well.
If nature is more to your liking, check out the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge where hundreds of thousands of shorebirds stop over during their spring and fall migrations. The birds feed here on their way North to the Artic and their southern return. A new 1,800′ boardwalk makes walking and viewing of birds and wildlife easy. Then stop at the Grays Harbor Farmers Market and Craft Fair: one of only two Washington State farmers markets open year round. Discover local produce, delicious pastries, fresh seafood, chowder, fine arts, & quality-crafted items….[visit official site]
