Grays Harbor Tourism announces that applications for the 2012 Festival and Event Grant Program are now available.
Grant funding is provided to promote festivals and events that generate overnight stays /heads in beds and increase tourism activity within Grays Harbor County. Priority is given to shoulder and off season events. Eligible applicants are established 501(c) 3 & (c) 6 organizations.
The grant program has $100,000 available. Promotion activity must promote and create tourism, and draw visitors from outside the area.
Applications must be submitted no later than October 31st, at 5:00PM. All applications are reviewed by the Grays Harbor County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. The LTAC is charged with providing recommendations to the Grays Harbor County Commissioners. Applicants will be notified prior to December 31st by Grays Harbor Tourism staff about the status of their requests.
